Workshops

Interactive - Hands On - Educational

We are now offering classes and interactive workshops at the salon.  These workshops are opportunities for us to interact and learn from each other in a different way.  Workshops are guided by either Cee Jae and/or Duran, depending on the workshop topic.

The Mechanics of Scalp Health

Guide: Duran Torrez

Location: The Velvet Salon

Date & Time: Every Other Saturday, 2-4pm

Capacity: 6 *friend or partner pairs are encouraged but not required

Interactive Workshop Flow:  The core of each workshop is designed for individual discovery.  This means at the most fundamental level each workshop is designed for you to learn something new about yourself and be able to walk away with simple practical tools.

Each workshop is designed to have a general direction, but also allows for free flowing Q&A and exploration within that general direction, which personalizes each workshop.

About the Guide:  Each Mechanics workshop is guided by Duran Torrez.  Duran studies and practices the Science of Human Design and the Mechanics of the Maia.  In these workshops he will help you gain a better understanding of how to see yourself, trust yourself, accept yourself, and learn how to understand the language your body is speaking.

Your body is telling you everything. You just need a translator to help understand the language.

Core Questions to be answered during the workshop:

  1. What is the scalp? (In general terms and specifically to each individual)

  2. What does it do?

  3. What are my scalp mechanics?

  4. How is my scalp designed to function naturally?

  5. How do I care for my scalp?

  6. What things (externally) are harmful to my scalp?

  7. What things (externally) are nurturing to my scalp?

  8. What is my scalp telling me?

  9. How do I make decisions moving forward?

Tools I Receive:

  • Personal Scalp Mechanics Map

Have you ever said, “I just need to listen to my body”?

This interactive workshop is designed to teach and guide you through learning and decoding the language of your body.

This is not about “Body Language” in the traditional sense, it’s about you learning how your individual body processes and communicates information.

It’s about learning how certain specialized areas of your body are designed to communicate with other areas.  It’s about learning how to refine your self-care.

How is your body speaking to you right now?

Your body is always communicating.  Most people only pay attention when it's in pain, and discomfort. Learn to be a better listener and form a  better bond with your body.
